A light-yellow clear oil, with good viscosity. Rosemary essential oil is classified flammable and needs to be specially packaged and labelled for air freight. For orders outside of Australia please email for freight costs.
Botanical name: Salivia rosmarinus ( previously Rosmarinus officinalis)
Aroma profile: a strong clean green base with floral mid tones and a honeyed citrus finish.
Origin: South Gippsland, Australia.
Extraction: Steam distilled in small batches, in copper.
Applications: the aroma is renowned for aiding mental clarity and assisting with mental and physical exhaustion. Â Ongoing research focuses on potential use for brain health and insomnia.
In massage rosemary can be used to help alleviate muscular and skeletal pain, repair and regenerate skin and hair. Rosemary has been used for many years in shampoo and as a tonic for hair, it is said to stimulate hair follicles potentially encouraging hair growth and improving hair strength and appearance.
In inhalations to assist with respiratory congestion and support the lungs.
Character: a full balanced oil which blends well with others. The verbenone variety is the most gentle of all rosemaries.
Method: In massage use 2% in a carrier oil ( 2 drops/teaspoon), 4-6 drops in a diffuser. For inhalations use 2 drops in a bowl of steaming water.
Cautions: Non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitising. However, it is not recommended for use during pregnancy or for anyone suffering from hypertension or epilepsy. Sensitivities vary so always test first.
